I recently participated in a book club presentation on the book, You Don't Need a Title to be a Leader, Mark Sanborn. It was refreshing to hear his account of how leadership is a discipline of influence and we encounter opportunities daily to lead every day but can make the choice to lead by influencing family, friends, coworkers, etc. So many times, people are caught up with the title instead of practicing the discipline because having a title does not make you a leader. Remember, regardless of your title, you are a leader.
