Biography

Lynn F. Austin

Ms. Austin is an author, coach, professor and managing Director at Austin Group Consulting.  She is a 2017 Humanitarian Award recipient which recognized individuals who, despite the obstacle, demonstrate the courage to take decisive action, the wisdom to face aggressive challenges, and the willingness to sacrifice to affect causes that impact the betterment of the community.

Lynn’s professional portfolio includes leadership roles at Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Harley-Davidson Motor Company-where she was the first African American Director of Marketing.

Among her many accolades, she orchestrated a landmark integrated strategic marketing initiative that garnered national press, toured the U.S., and later became a featured exhibit at the 2008 grand opening of the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI. 

Lynn is a visionary, experienced at achieving results. She leverages her background to masterfully guide, motivate and inspire learning, understanding, and transformation. 

Lynn holds a B.S. from Washington Adventist University and an MBA from Capella University.  Additionally, Lynn maintains Six Sigma Green Belt, Certified Technical Expertise (CTE) – Business and Marketing certifications and beginning doctoral studies in leadership.

She has been profiled in a wide range of media and featured speaker at conferences and workshops throughout the country. She enjoys writing, hiking, reading, riding motorcycles and spending time with her rescue dog Newman.
