Quote of the Month – Doors Close and Doors Open

The Advantage

Life is a journey marked by a series of transitions—doors closing and new ones opening. I believe we wake up as winners because we have the advantage over everything the moment we take our first breath of the day. It’s natural to feel uncertain when faced with change, but it’s essential to remember that every ending brings a fresh start filled with new opportunities.

Consider the words of Revelation 3:8 (NIV): “I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.” This powerful verse reminds us that even when we feel weak, there is a divine plan at work, guiding us towards new possibilities that are uniquely ours.

The Opportunity – Embracing the Shift

When one door closes, it’s easy to focus on the loss rather than the potential ahead. However, this shift in perspective is where growth begins. By embracing change and trusting in the journey, we open ourselves to new experiences that can lead to personal and professional growth.

Think about a time when a closed door led you to a better opportunity. It might have been a career change, a move to a new city, or the end of a relationship that made way for personal growth. Each of these experiences, while challenging, ultimately guided you to where you are meant to be. Open your eyes; it is just beyond the horizon.

Equipped with your advantage, He has packaged your opportunity. It is waiting for you. each and every day—to see, to love, and to serve.

Faith and Resilience

Faith and resilience play crucial roles in navigating these transitions. Faith helps us believe in the promise of new beginnings, while resilience gives us the strength to keep moving forward, even when the path is unclear. Together, they enable us to face life’s uncertainties with courage and hope.

I’m reminded of a scene from “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” when Ricky says, “If you ain’t first, you’re last!” Remember, first is YOUR position in life.

Wake up in it and maintain it because winning is what you do—because you’ve got the advantage!

I invite you to share your stories of doors closing and opening in your life. How have these experiences shaped your journey? Your story could inspire someone who is facing a similar transition. Remember, every closed door is an invitation to walk through a new one. Stay hopeful, stay resilient, and embrace the journey. Life happens for you, no to you, to live your purpose!

Respectfully,

Coach Austin
