“It’s impossible.” said pride. “It’s risky,” said experience. It’s pointless,” said reason. “Give it a try,” whispered the heart

Pride, experience, and reason can sometimes be noisy and overpowering and impact our thinking about opportunities, especially when connected to our dreams, wishes, and desires, especially if it takes us out of our comfort zone.
With some things, I tend to be more thinking-dominant, seeking to rationalize the whys. During these times, I run the risk of feeling hurt because I missed out on an opportunity, didn’t put myself first, was afraid to take the risk, made excuses, etc.
The irony is whether you are a thinking-dominant or a feeling-dominant person, both play a role, and maybe the key is balance.
Perhaps a guiding principle is “be aware that thoughts may present themselves louder, but while your dreams, wishes, and desires may seem more subtle, but they are closest to the “heart” of what you want.
