Quote of the Month – Fighting Takes Place First in Our Minds

Proverbs 23:7 says “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.”  In conquering things, many times the most difficult fight is mastering the inner world of our mind.

Our thoughts form and shape our perceptions, beliefs, values, and principles, and can have a long-lasting impact on our lives.

In overcoming negative self-talk and thought patterns, I offer three tips. 1) recognize what is going on, 2) practice being mindful in the moment, and 3) question negative thoughts during moments of negativity.

Like exercise, practicing these tips will help develop habits to master negativity in our minds.
